Unbeaten Ashley is added to Shingler's list

Welshpool’s Robin Shingler has stormed to the top of the Newtown Premier Darts League after ending reigning champion Gareth Ashley’s unbeaten run of 27 games.

Shingler was victorious by 4 legs to 2, and earlier in the night drew with Kacey Jones to secure enough points to take pole position in the standings.

Shingler is now just one of two unbeaten players in the league after four weeks. The other player to remain unbeaten is Mitch Butler who won both his matches against Ewan Jones and Chris Hurds respectively.

James Evans-Bradford hit the highest checkout of the night with a superb 130 bull finish earning him a draw against Craig Davies. There were other wins on the night for Nathan Dobson, Neil Astley and Johnnie Francis concluded a very high standard of darts on the night.
