Newtown kick off weekend action

01/11/2019 @ 12:37

Newtown will kick off the Montgomeryshire football action tonight with a trip to Bala in the JD Cymru Premier.

The Robins will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing midweek defeat on penalties to STM Sports in the Nathaniel MG Cup, but that followed another fine league win last weekend that sees them still chasing a top half spot before the mid-season split.

In the second tier, Guilsfield and Llanrhaeadr head north to Bangor City and Prestatyn respectively, while Llanfair United will hope it is third time lucky and their Welsh Cup match finally gets played against Mynydd Isa.

Mid Wales League sides are involved in a mix of league and cup action, while amateur league fixtures have again been chopping and changing so please check with your local club before travelling.
