Outstanding Llanrhaeadr win again

01/12/2019 @ 09:13

Llanrhaeadr remain with Guilsfield in the top six of the JD Cymru North following an outstanding performance at Penrhyncoch.

Two second half goals joined a first half opener to secure the 3-0 win and allow Llanhreadr to hold sixth spot, one place behind Guilsfield who drew 1-1 on Friday night with table toppers Prestatyn.

It is getting tough at the bottom for Llanfair United who were beaten 4-1 at Ruthin Town.

In the second round of the MMP Mid Wales League Cup, there were wins for Berriew, Caersws, Kerry, Llanidloes Town, Montgomery and Four Crosses. In the second division, there were vital wins for Forden United and Churchstoke, while Carno won 1-0 at Llansantffraid in division one.

Newtown picked up a valuable three points at Barry Town thanks to a 79th minute strike from Ian Sheridan, keeping their hopes of a top six spot by Christmas alive.
