Leaders drop points

Lowly Aberaeron have thrown the MMP Mid Wales League title chasers a lifeline after holding runaway leaders Llanidoes Town to a draw.

The Dafs had to come from a goal down in blustery condition to grab a point at the seaside, meaning they got 10 points clear but having played two more games than their main rivals.

One of those chasers, Bow Street, came away from Four Crosses with a 2-1 win but it was a day devastated by the weather as most teams were given a day off.

In the games that did go ahead, Kerry drew at Tywyn Bryncrug while Waterloo Rovers reached round three of the ER Jenkins Cup with a 3-1 over Dolgellau.

Newtown continue to fly the flag high for Montgomeryshire in the JD Cymru Premier following their hard-earned 1-0 win over Carmarthen Town at Latham Park.

An own goal early in the game gave The Robins three points to move up to seventh as they pursue a top six spot before the league splits in two in the new year.
