11/06/2020 @ 10:51

Welshpool based Callum Roberts has signed a new full-time deal to stay with Welsh Premier League champions Connah’s Quay Nomads.

The former Shrewsbury Town and The New Saints man played a key part in the 2019/20 season as the club picked up the JD Cymru Premier and Nathaniel MG Cup domestic double.
Roberts made his competitive debut for the club in the 2-1 defeat at home to Kilmarnock in the UEFA Europa League First Qualifying Round where he set-up The Nomads' goal. He went on to start 29 competitive games for The Nomads in his first season with the club.

Manager Andy Morrison said: "I am delighted to have Callum Roberts signed up for the forthcoming season. He has received interest from numerous clubs and the fact that he sees his development at Connah's Quay speaks volumes about how we do things."

Callum is the son of former Newtown, Welshpool and The News Saints midfielder Mark Roberts.
