Platinum recognition for Welshpool Town

Welshpool Town FC’s junior section has been upgraded to ‘Platinum’ status through the Football Associaiton of Wales club accreditation programme. 

It is the highest level attainable and means that the club has met all of the criteria for accreditation in terms of management, workforce, provision, policies and procedures.

Coaching coordinator, Gareth Watkins, said: “The Platinum Award is testament to the hard work applied both on and off the field.

“We have some exciting youngsters coming through the club and I must pass credit on to the coaches and parents for giving the players the opportunity to express themselves in a safe, fun and organised environment.

“We have brought in a new club philosophy and we are looking forward to seeing players progress through the club and hopefully beyond.”
