Adele wins British bronze

Adele Nicoll shook off jet lag and fatigue to throw a personal best and clinch an incredible bronze medal at the UK Athletics Indoor Championships held in Birmingham today.

Adele, who only returned this week from being a part of the Team GB bobsleigh outfit at the Beijing Olympics, threw a brilliant 17.02m to land yet another shot put medal.

Sophie McKinna took gold with a throw of 18.83m, while Amelia Strickler picked up silver with her 17.62m throw.
