Waterloo Rovers have opened their MMP Central Wales League North season with two wins.

It was a really close affair at Four Crosses with the only goal of the game coming in the third minute from Ugis Treimanis.

Llansantffraid mean business this season under new manager Marc Griffiths and swept 10-man Trewern aside 4-1 at The Recreation Ground.

Trewern were already two goals down from Adam Biggs and a Zack Davies penalty when Joe Beddoes saw red on 30 minutes for retaliation.

Matthew Williams made it 3-0 before the break and although Haralambous pulled one back on the hour Davies converted another penalty two minutes later to see Llansantffraid take the points.

Montgomery went down 3-2 at home to Kerry with all the goals coming in the first half. Matisse Xavier, Ishmael Ozdemir and Ben Hendlemen were on target for Kerry with Jack Williams and Harry Evans scoring for Monty.

Dyffryn Banw trounced Llanfyllin 3-0 with goals from Efan Davies, Alwyn Jones and Huxley with Abermule beating Carno 2-1 with goals from Gorman and Pryce after Carno had bnetted a 10th minute penalty from Geraint Jones.
