Another golf win for Guilsfield Gem

Twenty year old Guilsfield golfer Gemma Vaughan lifted the Dilys Jones Cup at Finals Day at Llanymynech on Sunday beating Imogen Davies in a play off .

Gemma edged out her opponent in a very closely contested match in the final of the ladies handicap knockout competition on a very windy finals day at the club

Ten handicapper Gemma also won the Pant Bowl in the Ladies club championships with a gross 78 amongst her other successes this season at Llanymynech.
 
Gemma, who is studying sport development at Glyndwr University plays for the Llanymynech ladies scratch and handicap league teams and is involved with the Junior section at the club.
 
She made her debut for the Shropshire County Ladies team at Derby this summer after previously representing them at junior level .Gemma recently gained her PGA Level 1 coaching licence at the Belfry and is a committee member of the Shropshire and Herefordshire County Golf Partnership.
 
She has been involved with introducing both children and adults to golf at taster sessions throughout the year in the counties.
