Glass never half empty for full Monty

Montgomery manager Clive McNamee is ever the optimist and has come out fighting ahead of this weekend’s Central Wales Cup after his side was held to a draw last Saturday.
That point meant his chargers have picked up just one victory in their last six matches but as the experienced manager rightly pointed out, there is reason to be cheerful as they are unbeaten in four.
When asked about the lack of victories over the past month, the managed was quick to respond: “There’s not been too many losses neither! The glass is always half full at Monty. We have only dropped 10 points in the league this season, which is one less than Kerry at the top, so we are still on course.
McNamee’s side seems to have been permanently on the road this season since joining the Spar Mid Wales League and they hit the road again on Saturday to visit Llandrindod Wells in the Central Wales Cup.
“We have only played three matches at home and scored five goals in each game so I think our home form will be good for us as the season goes on,” he said.
McNamee has welcomed back a majority of his injuries and can select from virtually a full squad this weekend.
Also in Central Wales Cup action, Spar bottom club Meifod travel to Llanilar while Llanfyllin go to Machynlleth. JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League Division One side, Llangedwyn, entertain Rhosgoch.
