Youths show the way at Welshpool

10/11/2010 @ 01:11

The first team may be finding the going tough this season, but Welshpool’s Youth team has got some exceptional talent which shone during a resounding victory over Oswestry Youths at the weekend.
The side ran in seven tries through seven different scorers with Tom Holloway, Jack Lewis, Danny Williams, Henry Richards, Jordan Harding, Ryan Goodwin and Tom Williams all crossing. Tom Williams also added four penalties for a resounding 44-0 result which was even more promising considering that Jordan Love and Drew Griffiths were promoted from the U16’s for the day.
It puts the team in good stead for a tough fixture against Abergele next week.
COBRA draw Welshpool conquerors
The draw for the third round of the SWALEC Bowl has paired COBRA with the team that pulled off a giant killing act at Welshpool last round.
COBRA take on Shotton Steel from the third division who enjoyed a dramatic win over Welshpool in round two by overturning a 24-3 deficit in the last 20 minutes so they know it won’t be an easy task.
The tie is scheduled for December 1.
