Awards for Berriew, Monty, Crosses

07/12/2010 @ 03:26

Neil Pryce has made a dream start to his managerial career after picking up his second consecutive manager-of-the-month award for the Spar Mid Wales League.

Pryce’s Berriew are unbeaten since he took over six weeks ago and he followed up his October award by being named the pick of the bunch by league officials for November. His star striker Will Thomas (right) was named as the division’s top player.

Meanwhile in Division Two, Clive McNamee (below) says he has picked up the award on behalf of his club, including its supporters, after Montgomery’s unbeaten month finished with them topping the defensive and attacking charts.

“Montgomery have made great strides since their reformation just over three seasons ago,” he said. “We have a hard working committee, a wonderful set of loyal supporters who follow us home and away and a great bunch of lads that carry the club flag on the pitch. This latest award is well deserved by each and every one of them. Whilst I believe this is called a manager of the month award I recognise it as a team effort and I probably have the easiest job at the club.”

The Player of the Month has gone to Gareth Jones of Four Crosses who have climbed up to second in the league with Jones putting in some big performances.
