Guils triumph, defeat for Forden

There were celebrations for Guilsfield Reserves but disappointment for Forden United in the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League Cup Finals.

Dan Pritchard's Guilsfield side had to surrender ground advantage to Llansantffraid Village in the Mid Wales Trophies Consolation Cup Final but it didn't prevent them winning 6-2.

But it was a bad day at the office for Forden in the League Cup Final, losing 5-1 to first division runners-up Caersws Reserves. 

Forden had high hopes after beating Waterloo Reserves 6-3 in the semi final but were 2-0 down within10 minutes at Latham Park and never recovered, going in 3-0 at halftime. Despite a better second half performance there wasa no way back for the villagers.
