Llanymynech golfers defeated the elements this week to return to the course after a near two week break caused by the heavy snow and frost.
Pete Faulkner and Geoff Purslow were grateful that the course was higher than Sunday's heavy fog as they recorded a newt 63 to win the Shotgun Foursomes from Dave Reynolds and Brian Reid on 63.5. In third place were Tim Parkes and Andy Knott on 66.
On Tuesday Dave Matthews (79-18-61) won the Seniors Turkey Trot Medal, with a three shot margin over Brian Hall (85-21-64) with Tom Fairclough (87-23-64) third.
Ladies captain Rachel Pritchard and the rest of the lady members also braved the elements to hold a very successful presentation evening at the clubhouse, despite heavy snow which meant the driveway needed cleraring to allow them to reach the event.
