Rugby lads keep spirits up

While it may have been a tough season to date for Welshpool Rugby Club, it still didn’t deter a handful turning up to train last night.

 

Despite the arctic conditions, the lads still managed to get outdoors in the hope that tomorrow’s match with Machynlleth could beat the weather. Unfortunately that will not be the case and the match is off.

 

Player Tom Carter said: “When we got there we were greeted by snow and a -1 temperature but we were determined to play and fair dos to the lads we at least managed to play a full contact game for an hour. Not sure though whether we were brave or stupid!”

Welshpool are currently struggling at the foot of the table but are hoping to enjoy an upturn in results in the New Year.
