Rally ace wants end to the snow

Welshpool rally driver James Watkins is hoping for an end to the snow as he prepares for a crucial event.

 

James of Rally Marketing of Welshpool is looking to improve on last year's third place in class when he tackles the West Wales Rally Spares Christmas Stages at Pembrey Race Circuit on Tuesday.

 

"I'll be in the Makefast of Newtown and Rally Marketing (Welshpool) backed f1000 Nissan Micra run and prepared by Geoff Jones Motorsport (GJM) of Cemaes Road," said James, who will have local co driver Chris Evans at his side.

 

But it could be the last time out for the pair in the Nissan as James is currently looking for a new car for next year.
 

"Last year on the same event, we managed a third place finish in class, so I am looking to go better this time out. But in this weather anything could happen," said James.
