Celtic Company wins big at awards
The Celtic Company pipped formidable opposition to the Retailer of the Year for the region of Wales and the Midlands, a win that owner Rachel Bates described as “great for Welshpool”.
“The Awards are usually held a plush ceremony in London, but this year the winners were announced virtually,” Rachel explained.
“But we are completely overwhelmed to have won such a fantastic award, especially as the other shops we were up against are all amazing independent retailers.
“We are so proud to bring this award to our high street and our town, especially after what has been a tough year for all businesses.
“I personally want to say a huge thank-you to the whole team here at Celtic Company for all of their support during a strange year.
“Also thank-you to our lovely customers who have continued to support us throughout lockdown and afterwards, we are so grateful and appreciate your continuing support.”
Sue Marks, editor of Progressive Gifts & Home and GiftsandHome.net said the awards had become become one of the “most exciting and hugely anticipated occasions in the gift industry’s calendar” over the past 18 years.
“While we are all extremely sad that we weren’t able to hold the event in its physical format this year, this way we could still celebrate the outstanding winners and finalists who have shown true grit and determination in confronting the challenges of the current situation,” she said.
