Plant Hire Controller

We have an opportunity available for a Plant Hire Controller at our Newtown Office.

Hours are 8:00am until 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Operations Director the main purpose of the role is to deal with Hire enquiries, negotiating best hire terms and arrange the delivery of plant and equipment to sites to meet our requirements.

Previous construction tool hire experience would be an advantage although full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Competitive salary to be discussed during interview.

Key Duties: 

· Hire and off hire of plant and small tools

· Liaising with plant hire companies to ensure we get favourable rates.

· Organising and keeping maintenance records of our own plant.

· Purchasing new plant and small tools

· Looking after transport of plant.

· Keeping register of current owned tools and which vehicles they’re assigned to.

· PAT testing of electrical items (Training will be provided for this).

Essential Skills and Qualities:

· Excellent telephone manner

· Ability to work under pressure

· Negotiation skills

· Able to work as part of a team
