Anniversary gives us the X-factor

We hit another milestone this week which has again underlined our longevity as your most trusted local media source.

It was 14 years ago that we launched our Twitter account, which is now known as X following Elon Musk’s name change when he took over the business last year.

It was a trip into the unknown back then. We had launched MyWelshpool six months earlier and with our Facebook followers rising, we ventured into Twitter which was a somewhat underused social media outlet at the time.

But fast forward 14 years and we now have nearly 5,000 followers on the platform, which added to our Facebook account of over 14,000 followers gives MyWelshpool a formidable following.

Over on X we share a lot of tweets with local interest that you wouldn’t necessarily see on Facebook so pop on over and give us a follow. To date we have done 22,600 posts.
