Mark Howard, co-owner and director of Severn Transport Services, has been honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to the Network award at the Pall-Ex Group’s annual awards ceremony, at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham.
The ceremony formed part of Pall-Ex Group’s 30th anniversary celebrations, marking three decades of progress across people, technology and sustainability since the network was founded in 1996.
The Outstanding Contribution to the Network award recognises an individual who has gone above and beyond in supporting the success, governance and long-term development of Pall-Ex, making a meaningful impact beyond their own business.
Mark was recognised for his long-standing dedication to Pall-Ex through Welshpool-based Severn Transport Services, a highly respected member business and three-time winner of the Pall-Ex Member of the Year award.
Over many years, he has played an active role in shaping the network’s direction through his commitment to the Member Representative Committee (MRC), providing valuable insight and support to ensure the network continues to evolve and thrive.
Through both operational excellence and collaborative leadership, the award showed Mark has consistently demonstrated the values at the heart of Pall-Ex, contributing to the strength and resilience of the wider network.
Kevin Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer of Pall-Ex Group, said: “Mark’s contribution to Pall-Ex extends far beyond Severn Transport Services’ outstanding operational performance. His dedication to the MRC and willingness to invest time and energy into the wider network has helped strengthen Pall-Ex for the benefit of all members. This award is a fitting recognition of his commitment, integrity and leadership.”
Meanwhile, Mark said: “It’s a real honour to receive this award. Pall-Ex has always been about collaboration and shared success, and I’ve been proud to play a small part in helping the network move forward. I’m grateful to the Pall-Ex team and fellow members for the recognition and continued support.”
