Owners of a Welshpool café are providing free dinners to the homeless, elderly and vulnerable residents of the town on Christmas Day.

The Andreou family who run The Inglenook Café in Union Street will be handing out free Christmas dinners to those who can arrange collection from them between 12noon and 2pm on Christmas Day.

Costas Andreou told MyWelshpool: “We are aware that there are many in the town who are less fortunate than others and offering them the chance of a hot cooked meal on Christmas Day is something we are really pleased to be able to do.

“We will be open between 12noon and 2pm for collection of food,” he said. “Those in need can simply come along, give us a call on 01938 556416 or get someone to collect the food for them.”
