24/12/2020 @ 10:37

Montgomery residents have launched a fundraising bid to raise money to improve the local Play Park, and has revealed the winner of their first competition.

Julie Owen won the Friends of Montgomery Play Park raffle, drawn live on Facebook, with the funds generated to be used towards improving the play park.

She won her own miniature real Christmas Tree with lights which was decorated with lottery scratch cards which were kindly donated by a supporter and had been on display in Montgomery’s Bunners store, who helped promote it.

Treasurer of the Friends of Montgomery Play Park, Erika Phillips, said: “We are very grateful to Bunners and the local community for supporting us with our first fundraiser to improve the play park facilities in the town. The money raised is a big step in the right direction for us and I thank everyone who bought a ticket or helped to promote it.”
