Castle lights up for Christmas
We popped up there last night for a hot chocolate and watched the incredible display being beamed onto the front of the iconic castle.
Despite the pouring rain, there were large crowds gathering early evening and crowds kept coming as we left too, with better weather forecasted.
The display will be held every evening this week from dusk until 7pm, with a final night of Saturday.
The display is free in the courtyard and the castle café is open, but normal prices apply for going into the Castle.
Sarah Johnson, National Trust Cymru’s Visitor Operations and Experience Manager at Powis Castle and Garden, said: “A huge amount of planning and careful consideration goes into delivering this spectacle for our visitors. Every year we like to add something new to the experience.
“We can’t wait for visitors to step into the courtyard and be met with festive projections lighting up the front of the Castle. Christmas is always a magical time at Powis and we look forward to welcoming everyone back.”
