24/05/2024 @ 10:55

The inaugural Welshpool Classic car show will be held on Saturday, June 1, at Glansevern Hall and Gardens, near Berriew.

Open to the public from 10am-4pm, over 70 cars are expected to display including Morgans, MGs, SAABs, Jaguars, Aston Martin, Morris Minor / Traveller, Minis and many more.

Apart from viewing the wide array of motoring heritage, craft and vintage stalls, visitors can enjoy the delightful picturesque rural setting.

Romantically positioned on the banks of the River Severn, Glansevern Hall Gardens offer over 25 stunning acres of diverse landscape and exotic planting. The spectacular estate comprises a variety of garden attractions, such as a five-acre lake, a cascading Water Garden, lakeside and woodland walks, the more formal Walled Garden, the charming Folly Garden and the secluded Bird Hide, set where the River Severn meets the River Rhiew.

The event will raise monies for Hope House Children's Hospice, Lingen Davies and the ENSA Memorial Appeal. Other charities will also have stalls.

Admission is £5 per car (cash) including all occupants. Anyone who wishes to exhibit a car of interest that hasn’t already booked in can just arrive on the day from 9am.
