Welshpool’s self-titled Clean-up Minion and newly elected town councillor Kelly Meredith has been on the case regarding the town’s forlorn looking bus shelters!

Cllr Meredith (pictured) finally made it onto the Town Council after several years of trying, and is determined to bring her energy into the chamber having become well-known as leading a crusade to keep Welshpool tidy and presentable.

She has had the town’s bus shelters in her sights for some time and has shared the following update with our readers.

“I’ve been working with Passenger Transport Technical Team to get Welshpool updated in regards to bus stop signage, bus shelters, time tables and display cases and I thought MyWelshpool readers may be interested to know the following updates,” she said before providing us with the following list below.

“Thank you to Andy and James for personally handling this large project. I appreciate the amounts of hours they put forth to remove and update every stop in Welshpool. I am particularly excited to see a new bus shelter at Tesco as it is in a highly visible area and used daily by shoppers.”
