Heroin seized in Welshpool raid

A major investigation is underway after police officers seized over £4,500 worth of heroin and cocaine during a Welshpool raid.

It is believed that officers targeted “known criminals” following recent thefts, and a simple ‘no tax’ seizure led to the discovery of the hard drugs in at least one vehicle.

“Enquiries are ongoing,” a police spokesperson told us. “Forensic examination and analysis of the drugs seized is being undertaken. No arrests at this time.”
