Students brighten up a popular spot

Students from Welshpool High School have played their part in brightening up a popular part of town with some eye-catching artwork.

The students designed and created two panels reflecting the heritage of the town perfectly, and they have been put in place outside Y Lanfa, the Powysland Museum & Library.

“We have some new artworks at Y Lanfa,” the venue announced, revealing this picture. “This will brighten up your walk along the canal!"
Done with spray paint and stencils, the artworks incorporate trains, canal boats and daffodils.

The project was funded by the Welsh Government, through the Winter of Wellbeing, partnering with Arts Connection and artist, Megan Jones.
