Four men have been charged following violent disorder in Welshpool Town Centre on Saturday night.
The four appeared before Mold Magistrates Court yesterday (Thursday) following what police describe as “significant disorder” down Berriew Street at 3.10am on Sunday morning.
The following happened after their appearance in court yesterday:
Troy Manuel, 21, and Kayden Manuel, 18, pleaded guilty to the offence of affray and were further remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court for sentencing on August 7.
Jack Dickson, 19, pleaded guilty to the offence of affray, possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A cocaine, and possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B cannabis. He was also further remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court for sentencing on August 7.
Ryan Jones, 21, pleaded guilty to the offence of affray and was released on conditional bail to appear at Mold Crown Court to be sentenced on August 7.
Chief Inspector Matthew Price said: “This successful outcome is the result of the proactivity and dedication of the Powys Priority Policing Team who worked very long hours to secure these charges.
“The incident had a significant impact on the community and therefore the team were determined to detain the suspects swiftly.
“They were also supported by a number of other departments and officers in this endeavour.
“I would like to thank the community for their assistance and co-operation in relation to this matter, and if anyone has any concerns, please contact us.”
