As pupils across the area picked up their GCSE exam results today, some have been frustrated by a software glitch that has left them still waiting.
MyWelshpool understands that an AI software update has resulted in some pupils across Wales still waiting for their grades, with one Welshpool High School mother describing it as “an absolute joke”.
Headteacher Jon Arnold confirmed there were problems Wales-wide, particularly impacting the younger Year 10 pupils trying to access results through the Hwb platform.
“Unfortunately, this is not a localised problem that we can fix,” said “Mr Arnold. “I know they are working on it so hopefully it will be sorted as soon as possible.”
Our local high schools have been reporting positive results today, but there are a lot of pupils still waiting for their individual results.
One frustrated mum told us: “We have been told they are rolling out a fix but seems some kids can access but others can’t. It’s an absolute joke and torture for the kids affected.”
We have also contacted Powys County Councl for infromation which we will share as soon as we receive.
