Head of Brand and Communications

Gro, Newtown, Powys, UK

Overview:

The role is pivotal in the development of the brand strategy and must have the ability to inspire and engage people inside and outside the organisation with the Control Techniques story.

The role has a global remit, working in partnership with marketing colleagues across Control Techniques and Nidec group and will help set best practice in terms of brand management.

The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:

. Areas of responsibility within Brand and Communications include: Branding and communications team management, brand management, live marketing including exhibitions, events and customer experience, corporate communications, PR, internal communications, awards, sponsorships, affiliations and community outreach

. Responsibility for global brand management, tracking, reporting, CID, creative pipeline

. Leading the global brand and communications team in delivering the global branding strategy, leading key activities / programes and ensuring appropriate input from all relevant stakeholders

. The role creates copy content for all materials and creative briefs/ storyboards for the studio

. The role is responsible for the tone of voice and global PR strategy and works to create PR opportunities for the brand and brand awareness

. The role approves output of internal/ external content creators ensuring timely production of all relevant communication tools and assets. inc. digital, advertising, copywriting, campaigns, product launches etc.

. Be an ambassador and brand champion throughout the organization; take ownership of the brand, be passionate, creative and committed to achieving sales success. Share best practice across drive centres and encourage local marketing managers to do the same

. Input to marketing communication strategy and manage strategy formulation process

. Manage consistent implementation of corporate identity/ appearance, representation of brand values and marketing communications across Control Techniques

. Provide high-level support in development of marketing strategies for campaigns, launches and product management

. Assist in the brand induction and training of new starters and local marketing

  Qualifications, Experience and Profile:

. Degree / Bachelor / Master in Marketing or/and Business management is an advantage or an equivalent combination of education and technical/ professional or proven experience.

. Promotional and Corporate Copywriting skills - Essential

. Experience using Cision/ PR creation, distributing and monitoring tools- Essential

. Ability to use Adobe suite, primarily Photoshop and InDesign - Beneficial

. Ability to create comms videos- Beneficial

. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Maxon Cinema 4D – Beneficial

. Solid track record in promotional marketing communications
