About Us: The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway is a registered charity which operates an eight-mile-long narrow-gauge railway, running through beautiful Mid Wales countryside. It provides a steam hauled tourist service, special events programme and a range of catering experiences. We are home to two museums and care for a significant portfolio of heritage assets. Run predominantly by volunteers, the railway carries more than 28,000 passengers per year.

Due to our rural location, applicants should have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
