Job Description:

Job Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Stores Operative to join our team. Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, in this role you will be responsible for efficiently managing stock, handling materials, and supporting the smooth operation of our stores. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that goods are received, stored, picked, packed and shipped accurately and safely, whilst working in a factory environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Safely load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet trucks, and manual handling techniques, ensuring compliance with safety standards (training will be provided to the right candidate)
  • Operate stock management systems
  • Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are stored correctly for easy retrieval and optimal space utilisation
  • Pick and pack orders with precision, verifying quantities and product specifications
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipments, checking deliveries against purchase orders, and documenting all transactions
  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment by always adhering to health and safety protocols

Package & Benefits:

  • Permanent full-time position with 3-6 month probation period (depending on candidate)
  • Competitive Hourly Rate
  • 37.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 7am to 3pm (half hour for lunch)
