Human Resources Manager vacancy

Carpenter & Paterson Ltd was established in the UK in 1956 and has developed into one of the World’s largest manufacturers of Pipe Suspension Equipment with manufacturing facilities in the UK, Thailand and India.

We are currently looking to recruit a stand-alone Human Resources Manager who will report to the Finance Director and be based at our Welshpool manufacturing facility.  This position offers a competitive reward package along with the opportunity to be either a full-time or part-time role for the successful candidate.

 The key responsibilities of the role will include:

•  Overseeing recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
• Absence Management
• Pension Administration
• Managing the Company appraisal system
• Ensuring that all procedures comply with employment regulations by regularly monitoring changes to employment law.
• In conjunction with the Senior Management Team and Production Manager, assess the need for training, source and arrange relevant courses and monitor employee attendance.
• Handling of disciplinary processes and formal grievances. 

The successful applicant will:

•  Possess, or be working towards, CIPD Level 5.
• Have a thorough understanding of Employment Law.
• Possess effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive change through effective engagement.
• Have a high level of positive energy and enthusiasm for the role.
• Be able to build trust and develop positive working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
• Previous experience of working in a unionised environment would be an advantage.
