Wales call-up for sisters

Welshpool sisters Ffion and Seren Lovatt have been selected to represent Wales at the International Thuringia Cup in Germany, to be held from March 23-26.

Both are current Welsh champions and after recent medals at National Judo competitions all over Great Britain, Ffion and Seren have more than earned their place on the Welsh team.

They have also been training at the British Judo National Centre of Excellence in Walsall along with being selected on to the Talent Cymru programme by Sport Wales.

“Their hard work and dedication to succeed has once again paid off!” said coach, Pete Castell, who runs Go Judo, the Llandrinio-based club where the girls train twice a week at the Village Hall.
