Four going bald to support Claire's chosen charity

Created on 18/11/2021 @ 12:58

Four local women will have their heads shaved to raise valuable funds for the Severn Hospice.

The four will be having their hair completely shaved off in support of cancer patient Claire Francis who is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.

Claire’s sister Yvonne Ellis, niece Carrie Ellis-Pedrini and friends Vera Bevan and Caz Bowen will all go bald on Friday, December 3rd and have already raised £2,145 towards their £4,000 target.

Claire was diagnosed in August 2021, while Vera & Yvonne have battled Breast Cancer themselves – Vera in 1999 and Yvonne in 2010. The support they received from Claire during their own battles inspired them to have their heads shaved for the charity of Claire’s choice.

They will be going live on their Facebook pages at12pm on December 3rd onwards, at Vanity Hair & Beauty, with support from local photographer Pix By Vix and are kindly being topped up with caffeine by Coco Coffee House.
The ladies would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far, raising a massive £2,135.00 (over half of their target) in two weeks.

If anyone would like to donate online please go  to:
If anyone would like to donate offline, there are sponsor forms at Derwas of Welshpool, Welshpool Kitchen Company, Alexanders of Welshpool, Guilsfield Local, Hardings and The Kings Head in Guilsfield.

There are also a few individuals going around too trying to raise as much money as possible.
