Police appeal after biker smash

Dyfed-Powys police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a nasty smash on Friday night that resulted in a motorcyclist being taken to hospital.

The incident happened at around 10.15pm and shut the Newtown road by Garthmyl until the early hours.

“The vehicles involved were a blue Honda CV car and a blue Yamaha motorcycle,” said a spokesperson for the force.

“The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital by ambulance. The road was closed with diversions in place.”

There is no news on the condition of the injured man, but anyone with information that could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police, either online at:, by emailing, or by calling 101.
