Hockey team’s strong start

Welshpool Ladies Hockey Club’s rebuilding season is on track with a solid start to the North Wales season.

A win, two draws and two defeats against the teams that finished first and second last season have provided an encouraging start which has seen a number of junior and new players come into the ranks.

The club has also received a new kit from Anmac who have also donated towards new equipment.

On Saturday, the ladies face Bangor University, looking to capitalise on some excellent play last weekend that got them their first win at Ruthin
