Five injured in another Buttington Bridge smash

A busy main road on the outskirts of Welshpool was closed for a short time on Thursday afternoon after five people were injured in a three-vehicle smash.

Emergency services were called to Buttington Bridge shortly after 3pm with the casualties treated on the scene by Ambulance Service personnel.

A crew from Welshpool Fire Station assisted the police and paramedics, and returned to station at 3.39pm.

“The crew responded to a road traffic collision involving two private motor vehicles that collided with one light goods vehicle,” a spokesperson for the station told us.
