Road re-opens following Saturday evening smash

The busy A483 between Welshpool and Arddleen has reopened this morning after it was closed following a two-car collision yesterday evening.

A car and a van are believed to have collided head on at a notorious stretch of road close to Pool Quay.

A Wales Air Ambulance from Cardiff was seen transporting one person to hospital, with Dyfed-Powys Police, Welsh Ambulance Service and the local fire service also in attendance.

The road remained close until around 7am.
