Police probe Welshpool hit and run

Police are appealing for information after a man was knocked off his bike on Friday evening near to the Powis Castle turning.

MyWelshpool understands that the cyclist, a male, was struck into the side of the road and taken to hospital. He has since been released with a leg injury.

The incident happened about 5.05pm on the Berriew Road with the car believed to be possibly silver or grey.

“We are appealing for anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV footage, that could help with our investigation,” a spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said.
