Police cordon off Tesco forecourt, and Brookfield Road commotion

It appears to have been a dramatic ending to the long Easter Weekend with readers filling our in-box with two incidents this morning.

Police have cordoned off Tesco forecourt this morning with a van standing guard (pictured), the same location for a smash and grab that saw £6,000 worth tobacco and cash stolen on New Year’s Day. That resulted in two men from Liverpool being jailed in February.

Readers tell us that employees confirm there has been some sort of break in, with access this time appearing to have happened from the back of the building.

But, also last night, at around midnight, readers told us that there was a commotion with police making an arrest on Brookfield Road following a foot chase. It is obviously too soon to find out if they are connected and we have contacted Dyfed-Powys Police for information.
