Five-vehicle collision closes road by Trewern

Five cars have been involved in a collision on the A458 which has closed the road between Buttington and Trewern.

Readers started to inform us of problems at lunchtime and traffic is backing up both ways as emergency services deal with what looks like a very serious incident.

Readers have also shared with us worrying photos of smoke bellowing from the scene which we have decided not to publish due to this being an ongoing incident.

A police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a five-vehicle collision on the A458 between Buttington and Trewern at around 1.10pm.

“The collision involved three cars, a van and a motorbike. The road is currently closed.”
