Van overtook cars to charge through cows

More details have emerged concerning Tuesday’s shocking incident when a van drove through a herd of cows crossing a road near Meifod.

Dyfed-Powys Police asked us to share the incident with readers after a white van is said to have “driven at speed” through the herd.

And the business concerned – Newbridge Farm Dairy – shared more details of the incident in a bid to find the driver.

“We had an incident crossing the cows at 5.30pm where a white 19-plate van decided to overtake a line of waiting vehicles and drive through our cows, string gates and nearly our relief milker at speed,” they posted.

“(It was) reckless and dangerous! If anyone has any dash cam footage we’d really appreciate it.

“Crossing the cows is as much an inconvenience to us as it is to the road users, which 99.99% of the time, we are so grateful for their patience as our girls move on into their fresh paddocks.

“Please consider the people you put at risk by trying so save 2-3 minutes.”
