Welshpool’s Burgess Land Trust is looking for an Executive Secretary (Part-Time). The Trust is managed by a Board of Commissioners, which includes Welshpool Town Councillors and non-Councillors. They administer the Trust’s funds which are primarily for: the maintenance, repair and extension to the buildings owned by the Town Council (and those on long lease) together with overseeing the Management Committee for the secondary Objective which is responsible for granting funds to support the local community. It is expected that the role would be based on approximately 180 hours (as demand requires) per year. Remuneration will be based on experience. McCartneys are after a Full Time Negotiator/Administrator based at its Bishops Castle office. The role offers excellent potential to an individual keen to progress their skills and expand business in the area. The successful candidate will need to be able to deal with both property sales and rentals together with day to day office duties. Finally, Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Christopher Salmon wants to recruit a Director of Commissioning to help deliver his plans to keep the region safe from crime. The Director of Commissioning will support the PCC by planning and overseeing the funding of services that can help deliver the 2013-18 Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Plan. The new recruit’s salary of £45,960-£49,059 will be funded initially from reserve savings and then from savings identified in the commissioning process. Applications deadline is November 1.
