Business students from Newtown College are preparing to host a vibrant Colour Run event next weekend in support of Cancer Research UK.
The fun-filled charity event will take place on Sunday, 1 June, at Dolerw Park in Newtown, with participants encouraged to arrive from 11am for a day packed with activities for all ages.
The Colour Run has been organised as part of the students' Business course unit focused on event management, giving them practical experience whilst raising funds for an important cause.
The day will begin with a warm-up session and face painting before participants embark on a 5K course that can be completed by running, skipping or walking, making it accessible for people of all fitness levels and ages.
"Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out, this event is perfect for everyone," organisers said.
Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, with all proceeds going directly to Cancer Research UK. Participants can purchase tickets on the day of the event, through social media channels, or by visiting the events section at www.hafanyrafon.com.
The event represents months of planning and hard work by the business students, who have used their studies to create a real-world fundraising initiative that benefits both their education and a vital charity.
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading cancer charity, funding scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner through research into prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Organisers are encouraging the local community to come along and support both the students' efforts and the important cause, promising a day of colour, fun and community spirit at Dolerw Park.
