Mayor’s Sunday this weekend

The Mayor’s Sunday parade and service will return this weekend after several years.

It was decided earlier this year to bring the ceremony back with Cllr Phil Owen (pictured), currently in his second term as Mayor, leading the parade.

It will start from the Park Lane entrance, where participants are asked to meet from 10.15am, and follow the road down to St Mary’s Church for an 11am service.

This will be followed by a parade back to the Town Hall’s Assembly Room where the presentation of this year’s community awards will take place.
