Fundraiser hits the right note

A whopping £1,771 has been raised for the Welshpool Branch of Parkinsons Support through a concert held at Montgomery Town Hall.

Organiser Mrs Mo Davies and her Montgomery team of helpers are pictured handing the money over to the group’s Mrs Gwyneth Evans (middle) following the performance by The Hafren and Llanidloes Community Choir.

Local businesses and members of the public supplied raffle prizes and a sumptuous afternoon tea was provided by the team of local ladies.

The Welshpool Parkinson’s group provides support for Parkinson’s patients, family members and those who care for them in the area.
