A large part of Welshpool will head to the polls on Tuesday as three candidates bid for a place on the Town Council.
The vacancy on the Llanerchyddol Ward has attracted three independent candidates with Kelly Meredith, Jackson Quarrell and Richard John White all hoping to win the vote.
Poll cards have not been issued for this election, with the Towen Coucnil saying that will represent a saving of £1,400, but there are concerns that it will discourage people to go out and vote.
However, those living in the Llanerchyddol Ward can go along to the Town Hall between 7am and 10pm to cast their vote.
