Rekindle, a young people’s mental health charity based in Newtown, is expanding to Welshpool, offering new opportunities for connection, support, and wellbeing of young people across the community.

Starting from September 2, Rekindle will be launching their Hub activity group at The Feathers in the old swimming baths building on Howell Drive, running every Tuesday from 1–4pm.

They said that “in this welcoming space, young people will be able to take part in a range of free, accessible activities designed to encourage connection, foster friendships, and build a strong sense of community in a relaxed and supportive environment”.

To take part, people will be asked to contact Rekindle first and compete a registration form through www.rekindle.org.uk.

In addition, Rekindle will now offer weekly wellbeing support and counselling sessions at the Welshpool Integrated Family Centre, giving individuals easier access to vital emotional and mental health support closer to home.

This marks an expansion of Rekindle’s existing in-person services in Newtown and remote support across Powys, with the new Welshpool offering providing a valuable addition to their growing network of care.

“We’re thrilled to bring Rekindle’s services to Welshpool, and we are so grateful to The Feathers Association and the Integrated Family Centre for their part in helping this to come to fruition” said Fleur Thompson, Service Delivery Manager.

Rekindle’s vision is ‘to ensure that all young people have ready access to good mental health support’.
