Residents in the Welshpool area are being encouraged to share their views about life in the area as part of a new county-wide survey launched by Powys County Council.
The “Let’s Talk: Living in Powys” survey, which opened today, aims to give local people the chance to express what matters most to them, how they feel about their community, and their experiences when dealing with the council.
Cllr Jake Berriman, Leader and Cabinet Member for People, Performance and Partnerships, said the responses will help shape how services are delivered in future.
“By taking part in the ‘Let’s Talk: Living in Powys’ survey, you’re helping us understand what truly matters to you and your community,” he said. “Your feedback is vital - not just for shaping local services, but for making Powys a better place for everyone. It is important to hear from as many residents as possible. Please encourage your family, friends, and neighbours to complete this survey.”
The council wants to hear about what residents value most in their local area, their experiences of living in Powys, and how they interact with council services.
The survey can be completed online at https://arolygon.data.cymru/s/524ArolwgPreswylwyr_ResidentSurvey/, and will remain open until Sunday 30 November 2025.
Paper and Easy Read copies are also available from Newtown Library and other local libraries, where completed forms can be returned. Alternatively, they can be scanned and emailed to haveyoursay@powys.gov.uk.
Anyone needing help completing the online survey can email surveys@data.cymru or call 029 2090 9500.
The survey is being managed by Data Cymru on behalf of Powys County Council.
